Yellow Brazing Wire
Usage and Application
Usage Areas:
Yellow brazing wire is a preferred filler material, especially for hard brazing applications. It is widely used in the following sectors:
* Air conditioning and cooling systems (particularly for copper-to-copper and copper-to-brass joints)
* Automotive industry (for strong metal part joining)
* Piping systems and plumbing work
* Metal furniture and steel construction production
* Industrial kitchen equipment and metal decorative products
Application Method:
1. Surface Preparation: Metal surfaces to be brazed (typically steel, copper, brass, etc.) should be cleaned of rust, dirt, and contaminants.
2. Flux Application: A suitable flux is applied to ensure good adhesion of the yellow brazing wire and to prevent oxidation.
3. Heating: The area to be brazed is heated evenly with an appropriate flame, such as oxy-acetylene.
4. Wire Application: The yellow brazing wire is brought into contact with the heated surface; it melts and fills the joint area.
5. Cooling and Cleaning: After the process, the part is allowed to cool slowly, and any flux residues are removed.
Yellow brazing wire is frequently preferred in industrial brazing due to its high strength, leak-tight joints, and cost-effectiveness.
