Lebronze alloys offer a diversified product range that covers critical applications requiring heavy load, fatigue, and friction wear resistance at low and high speeds and temperatures. These materials range from traditional Nickel Aluminum Bronzes to high-strength Copper Nickel Aluminum and Spinodal Copper Nickel Tin alloys.

K5 and K5B special copper-nickel-aluminum alloys

* K5 (CuNi14Al2, CuNi14Mn4Al3) is a processed copper nickel aluminum alloy with very high mechanical properties, good impact and fatigue resistance, and spark-free on impact. It is magnetic and used in aerospace and electrical engineering applications.
* K5B (CuNi14Mn4Al2) is a forged copper nickel aluminum alloy designed for high-strength applications in seawater environments. It is non-magnetic and resistant to mechanical wear, friction, stress relaxation, corrosion, and erosion. Environmentally friendly, free of lead and beryllium, and easily machinable. Thanks to its superior physical and mechanical properties, K5B is used in various components in the oil and gas industry. K5B complies with NES835 / DEF STAN 02-835 standards.

K5 key aerospace applications
Due to its superior physical and mechanical properties, K5 is used in many aerospace components. Lebronze Alloys has developed a full range of copper nickel aluminum products to meet the stringent requirements of the aerospace and space industries.

K5B important applications in marine, defense, and oil & gas

* Marine and defense: ship and submarine connectors, submarine control elements, pumps, shafts, mechanical seals, crane components, gears, hose fittings, components in sonar devices, propeller shafts, drive bushings. Lebronze alloys offer ready-to-use products via an integrated supply chain for these applications.
* Oil and gas: subsea bolts, pump and valve shafts, valve stems, hydraulic pistons and cylinders, hydraulic connectors, pressure couplings, and more.

K7 | CuNi14Al3Fe1 | WL 2.1504 | LN 9468
K7 is a forged copper nickel aluminum alloy (CuNi14Al3Fe1) designed for high strength and high reliability applications. It is non-magnetic and resistant to mechanical wear, abrasion, and marine corrosion. Lead and beryllium-free, environmentally friendly, and easily machinable. Thanks to its superior physical and mechanical properties, K7 is used in various aerospace components. Lebronze alloys have developed a complete copper nickel aluminum range that meets the strict requirements of the aerospace industry.

K7 key aerospace applications
K7 is used especially in heavily loaded airframe parts. It exhibits excellent resistance to metal-to-metal wear, making it suitable for landing gear bushings and bearing bushes. K7 is also used in cargo system bushings, aircraft doors, drive sleeves, control surface components, and many mechanical and electromechanical parts. Its wear, corrosion, temperature, and pressure resistance make K7 an ideal choice for producing long-lasting parts with optimized TCO.

Other applications of K7
K7 can also be used in helicopter flap systems and bushings. Its properties allow usage without lubrication or with limited lubrication.

CuAl10Ni5Fe4, CuAl11Ni5Fe5

Lebronze alloys’ NC4, CA104, and NCS production processes are fully integrated.

* NC4: CuAl10Ni5Fe4 (C63000, CW307G, AMS 4640, NFL 14-705) forged aluminum bronze. Excellent resistance to seawater corrosion, salt fog, and oxidation; high strength, hardness, good fatigue and toughness, and excellent resistance to wear, shock, and abrasion.
* C63000 / AMS4640 is commonly used in aerospace landing gear bushings and bearings, as well as in the marine industry for distributor housings, screws, and forged parts.
* CA104: CuAl10Ni5Fe4 (BS B23, BS 2B23, BS 2874) duplex wrought aluminum bronze, widely used in the UK. Mainly for its high strength and excellent resistance to erosion, seawater corrosion, and many other aggressive environments, offering very good wear and abrasion resistance and shock load capacity, maintaining properties at cryogenic temperatures.
  • Suitable for extrusion, forging, or die stamping
  • Suitable for hot forming (800 to 950°C), not suitable for cold forming
  • Good behavior in arc welding, MIG and TIG welding; not suitable for acetylene welding and soft soldering
  • Machinability: 30% free cutting brass
* NCS: CuAl11Ni5Fe5 (C63020, CW308G, AMS 4590, NFL 14-706) forged aluminum bronze. High mechanical properties, oxidation resistance, saltwater vapor resistance; used in aerospace (landing gears, rings, bushings, and bearings for mechanical parts) and hydraulic industries (pump blocks).
